Overweight children may be taken from parents

A couple from Dundee are facing the possibility of permanently losing four of their seven children, after concerns were raised about the children's weight levels, reports the Telegraph.

The family had been given a warning by social services three years ago that the four youngest children-  a five-year-old boy and three girls aged eleven, five and one – were too overweight and might be taken away if action wasn't taken to bring their weight down.

According to the Telegraph, there has been no real improvement in the children's weight levels, and social services have said they intend to remove the children from their home. They will then either be put up for adoption, or be “fostered without contact.”
