Comedian and actor John Cleese was reluctant to sign a prenuptial agreement with his fourth wife, despite her willingness to do so, reports the Daily Mail.
According to the paper, he only agreed to the pre-nup after his lawyers advised him that it would be in his new wife's best interests, as her financial interests would not be protected under the laws of Monaco, where the couple live, without one.
The actor reportedly went through a bitter divorce from his third wife in 2009, in which he had to pay a divorce settlement of around £12.5 million.
